ARTIST

Zoé Müller is a contemporary Swiss artist with her heart in Bavaria. From an early age, she lost herself in the world of her grandmother's farm paintings and began capturing her experiences and surroundings in pictures. This led her to art school in St.Gallen and to creative professional education as a graphic designer and illustrator. She now works successfully as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer and yet she has been able to retain her passion as an artist. This enables her to make art her profession. 

 

Her works primarily depicts impressive representations of animals that reflect Alpine regional culture. She picks up on regional customs, games and memories from her childhood and homeland. Occasionally, the artist also travels to foreign cultures and environments with her native animals.

 

Zoé's themes are conceived through sketches of her everyday life and experiences.

The final compositions are created by building up layers of oil paint and acrylic with a thick application of colour. An intuitive use of oil sticks or oil pastels is added as a finesse. The intensive use of colour and pointed humour in particular make the artist's paintings so unique and exquisite.
